The World Of Gekkeiju Online, Nevartah, is always actively controlled by several Gods and Goddesses. Some of them are evil, some good but in general they're almost always competing and waging wars against each other.
A common belief in Nevartah is that when one dies he goes to the paradise in the realm of the Gods, and gets an eternal life. Due to this promise, many mortals are known to dedicate their lives serving all the whims of their chosen Gods.
Even though the actions of Gods and Goddesses can be seen in almost everyday life, there are still some non-believers wandering the lands of Nevartah. When a person who doesn't accept any God or Goddess dies, he doesn't go to the paradise but instead he is thrown into void where he'll slowly melt into nothingness.
